Obituary Notice for Benjamin Ronald Cyrus Pierce (LM 436)

PIERCE, Benjamin Ronald Cyrus - (Retired Warrant Officer, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and Correctional Officer, Collins Bay Penitentiary). Peacefully, with family by his side, at Kingston General Hospital, on Tuesday May 17, 2011. Beloved husband of Kathryn Nasheim. Dear father of Richard (Brenda) of Oakville and Gordon (Cindy) of Innisfil. Loving grandfather of Jason, Suzanne, Jackie, Liza and great grandfather of Emma. Also remembered by Jeff, Moira, Elaine, Jerry, Jim and longtime friends, family and Spooky the cat. Predeceased by his first wife Muriel Pearl Stevens, second wife Ruth Pierce, son Darold Roy Pierce and grandson Sean. Ben was loved for his sense of humor, anecdotes and his enjoyment of card playing. The family would like to thank the staff of Connell 3, KGH for their compassionate care as well as the management and staff at the Marriott Residence Inn. The family will receive friends at the Township Chapel of GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 435 Davis Drive on Friday May 20, 2011 between the hours of 7-9 p.m. A Private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial donations the Kingston Humane Society or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family
