L.E. ' Ted' Blaker (CWO Retired)
June 17, 1941 - February 23 2021
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 surrounded by loving family. Ted Blaker in his 80th year, loving husband of 59 years to Valerie Blaker. Proud father of Kim (Larry) Sharer, Mike (Sandra) Blaker and Pat (Derek) Kyle. Devoted grandfather of six and great grandfather of eight. Ted will also be remembered by his brother Rob (Trish) Blaker. Ted had a distinguished career of 37 years in the Canadian Armed Forces retiring as Chief Warrant Officer and volunteered in many community organizations including Past President of Barrie and District Christmas Cheer and assisting with tax preparation for low-income individuals. Ted had a passion for hockey playing as a goalie and enjoyed many years of coaching youth teams. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Memorial donations to Barrie and District Cheer or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through adamsfuneralhome.ca
