Obituary Notice for Paul St Pierre, LM758
Peacefully
at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre (PRVHC) on June 17, 2012
at the age of 92. Survived by his beloved wife Ruth (Corrigan) and
daughters Rosemary (Peter) Leaver and Suzanne (Arden) Gaudet,
grandchildren Naomi, Sonia, Vanessa and Colin and great-grandchildren
Madeline, Lily, Alexa and Piper. Predeceased by his sister Evelyn and
grandson Roy Leaver. Served as an officer in Italy and North West Europe
with 5th Canadian Army Signals. After the war, he joined the 3rd
Signals Reserve Regiment, later becoming Commanding Officer and Honorary
Colonel. In civilian life, he worked for the Dept. of Defense
Production and the Dept. of Supply & Services. He was a regular
volunteer at the PRVHC from 1996 to 2004 and later served on the
Resident Veterans' Council. The family would like to thank the wonderful
caring staff of the 2 South Rideau at the PRVHC. Friends may pay
respects at Lupton Hall of the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health
Centre, 1750 Russell Road (enter by Main Entrance), Saturday after 12
noon. Funeral Saturday at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Chapel for
Mass of Christian Funeral at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the
Perley Rideau Foundation would be appreciated.
