HARRIS, Frederick Thomas - [Colonel (RCSigs/CELE) CD, MID, BSc, PEng] Passed away at Manotick ON on Thursday, March 24, 2016, age 92 years. Predeceased by his dear first wife, Margaret (Rose) 1969, and his beloved second wife Mary (Acton-Bond) 2013. Survived by sister Irene Harris of Chicago; daughters Sheilah Hunter, Irene Bathurst (David), Jane Naus (Chris); six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Karen Acton-Bond; five nieces and their families. Fred served 35 years in the Canadian Army - World War II and Korean War (PPCLI), Exchange Officer School of Signals in the UK, first Chief of Communications Mobile Command, Military Attache to Soviet Union, and National Military Representative to SHAPE Belgium. He was an army parachutist and light aircraft pilot, past President of Canadian Forces Ski Club (Ottawa), member of Highlands Golf Club and Canadian Club of Ottawa. Awarded Governor General's Medal and qualified for Red Cross and Royal Life Saving Society Certificates. In later years, he excelled in cabinet and furniture making and kept active with a limited exercise program, gardening and walking. Fred had an appreciation for all things beautiful. His lifelong love of creativity led to enjoyment of ballet, theatres, flower gardens and art galleries in the many countries he visited. He walked this life with intention and had much joy in companionship. A special thank you to the ladies from Home at Heart, especially Lesley, Caroline, Jeanne, the staff of Orchard View on the Rideau, At Home Hospice and Karen Acton-Bond and family for their loving support and to Veterans Affairs. A Memorial Service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 1138 Bridge Street, Manotick on Thursday, March 31st at 2 p.m., with Reverend Andrea Thomas presiding. Obituary announcement for old comrade Warren Abram (Tinker) Branscombe

BRANSCOMBE, Warren Abram (Tinker) - 82, Passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 after a very long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Beloved husband of the late Lucy Sippola (1998) and Winnifred (Wyn) Sargeant (Kingston). Dear father of Nancy and her husband, Ken Kalopsis and Larry and his wife Tricia. Loving grandpa of Cameron, Connor and Campbell Kalopsis and Bucky, Derek and Chantal Branscombe. He will also be missed by step-children Robert (Katherine) Sargeant, Kathy (Art) Cota, Jen (Mitch) Cox and the late Thomas (2013) (Tammy) Sargeant and their children and grandchildren. Survived by brother Clair (Hap) and his wife Dorothy (Peterborough), sister-in-law Jean (Moncton). Predeceased by brothers Ken and Harold and sisters Hazel (Merv) Bolley and Aileen (Bill) Hardcastle. Warren, a Korean war veteran, faithfully served Canada as a member of the Armed Forces for more than 25 years. Special thanks to nurses, doctors and staff on first floor of St. Mary's, Mount Hope Long Term Care, local Veterans Affairs, Lamise Kablawi, Chery Lake and Home Instead Senior Care for their care and support. Very special thanks to Lily Boarer who lovingly advocated and cared for Warren daily for the past four years. Cremation has taken place. Roy Howlett, of Stratford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in his 71st year. Born in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec, son of the late Alyce (Wells) and George William England Howlett. Loving husband to Erie. Devoted dad to Deanna, Kelly (Robin) and Lori (James). Brother to Kim and Pat. Proud granddad to Mattea, Jonah, Sam and Candace (Joel) and great granddad to Annabel, Ila Mae and Eleanor. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Obituary announcement for club member Kenneth Lamb LM066




LAMB, Kenneth, R. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather, Ken Lamb, Age 90, on March 9, 2016, at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Hospital, Halifax. Born August 2, 1925 to Beatrice and Roy Lamb, survived by his daughter Deborah Wilcox, son-in-law David Wilcox of Bedford, granddaughter Lauren Brent and fiancĂ© Adam Taylor of Ottawa, sister Evelyn Hansen of Regina and many nieces and nephews. He served proudly with the Signallers Core of the CF for many years including overseas at the end of WWII, followed by one year in Germany and another in the Middle East. He was the President of Lamb Real Estate Limited for over 30 years. He was also the Past Presidents of both the Kingston and Area Real Estate Association and Kingston Figure Skating Club. He was an emergency on call blood doner for over 30 years and most proudly, a Duplicate Bridge Life Master. He embraced new technology and taught computer and bridge lessons to seniors. He will be greatly missed! Interment to follow in the spring, at Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston, Ontario.13035539

McNulty RichardMcNULTY, Richard Francis - Suddenly at home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Richard Francis McNulty of Tamworth at age 79.
Beloved husband of the late Helen McNulty (Barrett) and dear father of Brian McNulty (Janet) of Kingston and Kim Peterson (Raul) of Perth Road.
Grandfather of Michael McNulty (Amelia); Andrew McNulty; Elizabeth (Tom) and Laura Peterson of Quebec City.
Great-grandfather of Isaak and Layla. Brother of Patricia McNulty of Amherstview; J. Derek (Bonnie) of Thunder Bay and Valerie Chatterton (late George) of Montreal and the late Janet and Douglas.
Son of the late Mildred and Leo McNulty. Dick will also be missed by his dear friend Margaret Koning of Tamworth and his comrades at the Tamworth Legion.
The family will receive friends at the Hannah funeral home, in Tamworth on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. Legion Memorial Service at 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass at the Church of the Assumption in Erinsville on Monday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment.
Memorial donations (by cheque please) made to the Tamworth Royal Canadian Legion or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
