COLE, John - Peacefully at Caressant Care, Woodstock on Thursday, June 30, 2011, John "Jack" Douglas Cole of Woodstock at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Ruby E. Cole (nee Tucker) for nearly 65 years. Predeceased by his son Alfred "Ted" Wallace Cole (1997). Brother of Don Cole (Claire) of Stratford. John was a veteran of WWII, serving with the Royal Canadian Signal Corps 4th Division from 1941 to 1946. He was involved with the Oxford Rifles in the Cadet Corps and as a Reservist-RCR. John was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 55, Woodstock and the Oxford Masonic Lodge No. 76 A.F. & A.M. He was also a lifelong member of the Anglican Church of Canada. A Memorial service will be held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 7:30 pm with Rev. Bruce Genge officiating. A Masonic service will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm under the auspices of Oxford Masonic Lodge No. 76 A.F. & A.M. Cremation followed by interment later at The Anglican Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the John Gordon Home, London or the Alzheimer Society of Oxford would be appreciated. The graveside service will be held at the Brookside Cemetery in Pointe-à-la-Garde on Saturday at 2:00 pm NB time There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Donations to the Brookside Cemetery Fund or the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton. Obituary announcement for Len DeCosse LM350
Leonard T. DeCosse (November 18, 1923 - February 23, 2015)
Survived by his daughter Bonnie and granddaughter Jessica, sister Eileen, brothers Raymond and Noel and many nieces and nephews. Len was born on the family farm near Somerset, Manitoba. He joined the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders, was trained in England and served in Normandy France, N/W Europe, United Nations, Egypt and the Congo. He enjoyed many retirement years fishing, hunting and his hobby, working with stained glass. Len requested cremation with no service. Memorial to follow at a later date.

Obituary announcement for club member Henry Redmond LM311
Henry Redmond passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Born
in New Waterford, he was the son of the late John Alexander and Anne Blanche
(Cropley) Redmond. A veteran of World War II, he served overseas with the Royal
Canadian Corps of Signals. Henry retired from the Federal Department of Health
and Welfare in 1979. Previous to that he was a field auditor with the
unemployment insurance commission. He was a life member and past president of
the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 12. He was a member of the Kiwanas and a past
president of the Sydney Credit Union and a member of the Riverdale Seniors Club.
Henry was a member of the United Church where he served on several committees.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Leona (Gillis); his daughters, Julia
Lusk(Mike), Kamloops, B.C., Claire (Fred) Ceruk, St. Catherine’s, ON; his
grandsons, Zackary Lusk, Greg, Stephen, Michael and Christopher; son-in-law,
Ernie Lusk, Sydney; nephew, Harold Phillips, Mira Gut; niece, Shirley MacLeod,
Dartmouth. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Hazel
Phillips; brother Frank Redmond. Cremation has taken place. There will be no
visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at
the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev. Sheldon
Chant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation
