Obituary announcement for old comrade Warrant Officer (Ret`d) Edward “Eddie” Joseph Dwyer

 
We regret to inform you of the passing of Warrant Officer (Ret`d) Edward “Eddie” Joseph Dwyer on 6 September 2015 at the age of 63. He served for 30 years and retired as an ATIS Tech in July 2007.


DWYER, Edward Joseph - (1952 - 2015) - It is with saddened hearts but wonderful memories that we announce the sudden passing of Edward "Eddie" Joseph Dwyer after a courageous battle with lung disease on Sunday September 6, 2015 in Toronto, ON at the age of 63.


Eddie will be greatly missed by his wife Rose of 40 years, beloved father of Eddie (Sue), Amy, and Aaron (Becky), and loving Papa to Madeline, Bridget, Gracie, Liberty, and his little man Jackson. He is survived by his father Edward (Florence), brothers Bernie (Yolanda), Bobby (Terri Lynn), Leo (Honey), Gerry (Angie), and Billy (Jennifer), sisters Cathy (John), Debbie (Paul), and Loretta. He is predeceased by his mother Louise and his brother Kevin. He will be sadly missed by several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.


Eddie was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He was a proud member of the Canadian Arm Forces for 30 years before retiring in 2007. His love of Family was seconded by his passion for golf and he always looked forward to rounds with his best friends Wade and Brock. He was a devoted follower and dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers, Boston Red Sox, and the Montreal Canadians.


A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday 12 September at the Hillside Funeral Home, 362 Airport road, North Bay, Ontario. Eddie recently relocated to Toronto and was two days shy of going on the lung transplant list. In lieu of flowers and donations he and his family ask that you become an organ donor.
