Roy Howlett, of Stratford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in his 71st year. Born in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec, son of the late Alyce (Wells) and George William England Howlett. Loving husband to Erie. Devoted dad to Deanna, Kelly (Robin) and Lori (James). Brother to Kim and Pat. Proud granddad to Mattea, Jonah, Sam and Candace (Joel) and great granddad to Annabel, Ila Mae and Eleanor. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception at the Stratford Royal Canadian Legion Branch 8. Cremation will take place. On behalf of his fellow Sig App 11th Intake members, it is with sadness that I advise you and all present and past members of the Communications’ Community of the unexpected passing of Roy Howlett, a former RC Sigs member and Sig App, E-37, on March 16, 2016 at home of a heart attack.

BRANSCOMBE, Warren Abram (Tinker) - 82, Passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 after a very long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Beloved husband of the late Lucy Sippola (1998) and Winnifred (Wyn) Sargeant (Kingston). Dear father of Nancy and her husband, Ken Kalopsis and Larry and his wife Tricia. Loving grandpa of Cameron, Connor and Campbell Kalopsis and Bucky, Derek and Chantal Branscombe. He will also be missed by step-children Robert (Katherine) Sargeant, Kathy (Art) Cota, Jen (Mitch) Cox and the late Thomas (2013) (Tammy) Sargeant and their children and grandchildren. Survived by brother Clair (Hap) and his wife Dorothy (Peterborough), sister-in-law Jean (Moncton). Predeceased by brothers Ken and Harold and sisters Hazel (Merv) Bolley and Aileen (Bill) Hardcastle. Warren, a Korean war veteran, faithfully served Canada as a member of the Armed Forces for more than 25 years. Special thanks to nurses, doctors and staff on first floor of St. Mary's, Mount Hope Long Term Care, local Veterans Affairs, Lamise Kablawi, Chery Lake and Home Instead Senior Care for their care and support. Very special thanks to Lily Boarer who lovingly advocated and cared for Warren daily for the past four years. Cremation has taken place. Private family gravesite memorial will take place in Kingston at a future date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
