John Francis (Jack) Blackburn July 26, 1921 - February 17, 2017 Jack, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed peacefully on the morning of February 17, 2017 in Langley, B.C.Born in 1921 in Montreal, Jack proudly served in WW II with Royal Canadian Corp of Signals in Italy and was in Holland during the liberation. Retired from B.C. Telephone Company as an Engineering Technician in 1984.
Jack is survived by his English War Bride, Eileen of 75 years, 4 children, Dave, Marilyn, Phil (Julie), Karen (Gord), 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by parents Frank and Bella, Brother Dave, Son-in-law Don and Grandson Jason.
Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Simpson Manor, especially Irene for their exceptional care.
Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 1 - 4 pm at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #240, 2643 128 Street, Surrey, B.C.
