We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the AMAZING and CARING nurses in the Medical Day Care Unit. As his fatigue worsened, he still managed to always smile and thank each nurse. Although we only met with Dr. D. Vincent (Palliative Care) on a few occasions, his kindness and support were much appreciated at such a sad time. We also would like to thank David Zarenba and his staff at the Ottawa Cremation Service for their respect and dignity provided to David and us, his family.
We cannot thank his caregivers (Dieudonne, Nabil and Anna) enough for their support and the loving care provided to David. Special mention to the love and care that Natalie (Retire at Home) provided. David's concern in his last days was that he would be putting her out of work.We are extremely grateful for all the kindness and support extended to us by our neighbours and friends. Finally, we want to thank Veteran's Affairs, and particularly Barbara McDonald, for her assistance with organizing whatever David needed to make his life easier and more comfortable. At David's request there will be no visitation or service.
