Obituary announcement for Old comrade David James Combe



David James (Dave) COMBE, 17 April 1940 – 19 December 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David James Combe on December 19, 2019 at Providence Care Hospital in his 79th year after losing his battle with cancer.
Born in Welland, Ontario, youngest child of William and Ann Combe of Liverpool, England, Dave joined the military when he was sixteen, and upon his retirement divided between the Canadian Armed Forces and Corrections Canada. Dave was a Soldier Apprentice, RC Sigs, 5th Intake 56-58.
During his final years, he was enjoying retirement, enjoying fishing in the summer and cheering on the Kingston Frontenac’s in the winter.
Dave is survived by sister Evelyn Fox of Welland, Ontario and predeceased by sister Nell and brother Bill. Survived by girlfriend Faye, first wife Jean, predeceased by second wife Vera. Also survived by children Chris, Jeff, Dennis, Michele, Steven, stepchildren Chet and Tracey. Many grandchildren: Alex, Rebecca, Tommy, Lindsay, Mitchell, Robyn, Nicole, Jessica, Ben, D.J., Shyann and Ryder. A father, son, grandpa, husband, friend, soldier, prison guard, brother, hockey and baseball coach, figure skating president, comedian, obsessed Maple Leaf Fan and a person that will be missed by all that knew him. Heaven is filled with a little more laughter, now that Dave has a new audience to try his best jokes on.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 631 in Collins Bay on Saturday, 25 January 2020 between the hours of 1pm and 4pm. All are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Dave will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens on Friday, 24 January 2020.
Many thanks from family to the doctors, nurses and staff at Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care Hospital for their treatment and care during Dave’s illness.

OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR MICHAL EDWARD BEAMAN


Michal Edward Beaman 1997-2020

Michal lived his life in accordance with this passage of scripture.  They represent the passion he had for his family, faith and his country. 
"Be on your guard; Stand firm in the faith; Be courageous; Be strong. Do everything in love."
1 Corinthians 16: 13 - 14
It is with broken hearts and sadness the family of Private Michal Edward Beaman announce his death which occurred in Kingston, ON on Wednesday January 29th, 2020. Born in Moncton February 28, 1997, he was the first born child of Robert and Natalie (Cyr) Beaman. Michal was a member of the 37th Signal Regiment and served out of the Barrack Green Armoury in Saint John. At the time of his death he was training to be a line Technician in CFB Kingston. Michal graduated from Simonds High School class of 2015; a graduate of NBCC Electrical Engineering Technology in 2017. He then enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in December of 2018. Michal was a funny passionate and driven young man who enjoyed nature and its beauty. He enjoyed hiking, Four-wheeling, Cross bow and was active in Air Cadets during his high school years.

Michal is survived by his loving and proud parents Natalie and Robert Beaman; sister Evelyn Beaman and brother Adrien Beaman all of Saint John; loving grandparents Lyndia Thomas (Gerard) of Saint John and Jean-Claude Cyr of Edmunston, NB; aunts Tracy Brewer (Timothy) of Fairfield; Lisa Hobbs (Rob) of Ontario, Ontario and Katharine Beaman of Halifax, NS; precious cousins his bro Edison “Eddie” Brewer (Nicole), Eliesha Brewer, Brian Hobbs and Robyn Hobbs; great-cousin Melody Brewer; many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends as well as military family.
Michal was predeceased by his baby brother Jonathan E. Beaman in infancy; paternal grandparents Lt. Col. Michael and Gaynel Beaman and maternal step-grandfather Howard Thomas.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Friday February 7 from 6-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held from Trinity Anglican Church, 115 Charlotte Street Saint John, on Saturday February 8th at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Barrack Green Armoury.  In lieu of flowers donations in Michal’s memory can be made to Out flow Ministries, Salvation Army or to Vetscanada.org
