Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in his 93rd year. Son of the late Isobel and Peter Shewchuk. Beloved husband of Gwenneth for 33 years and the late Agnes for 39 years. Loving father of the late Ronald Shewchuk, Gerald Shewchuk and stepfather to Sheri Swerdfeger, Phyllis Davis (John) and Jim Costain (Patty). Much loved grandpa to Michael Shewchuk (Ashley), Jef Shewchuk and Caroline Shewchuk (Bryan), Chris Wylie (Becky), Tracy Klien (Bryan), Julia Buckland (Jon), Amanda Fournier (Josh), Jennifer Gauthier (Shawn) and Ashley Ladouceur (Justin). Proud great-poppa to Talya and Benjamin Wylie, Austin and Troy Klien, Graysen and Andrew Buckland, Carter, Owen, Emmett and Preston Fournier. Beloved husband of Nancy Maillet (nee Masterson). Predeceased by his parents Albert Maillet (Lodia) and Ida Babineau. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his children: Michael (Virginia), Don (Sue); grandchildren Gabrielle, Zoe, Michael, Isabella, Eric; great grandchildren Liam and Kieran. Dear brother of Alcide and Marie. Uncle of Sylvie, Marie-Helene and Maurice. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at the 413 Wing Centre, 230 North Murray St. Trenton, ON on Saturday, May 4th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Robert (Bob) Winsor of Kingston, Ontario passed away
peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre,
surrounded by his family on April 15, 2019 at the age of 71
. Bob made many friends in Kingston and the surrounding
area throughout his extensive career in Real Estate, after
spending 20 years serving with The Canadian Armed Forces
. A lifelong music lover, Bob was best known for his innate
sense of humor and genuine love for his family and friends.
Loving husband of 50 years to Lorraine (nee Parsons),
devoted father to Allyson and Jeff (Caitlin). Cherished
grandfather to Jake, Robbie, Megan and Chase. Predeceased
by his parents Bernard and Genevieve and brother Vic.
Bob will be greatly missed by his siblings Linda (Ken),
Bill (Tina) and Marlene (Bruce). Adored brother-in-law
of Sharon (John) and Lynn. He will be fondly remembered
by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would
like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff for their
loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to The Salvation Army, Kingston Health Science
Center Intensive Care Unit or the Heart and Stroke
Foundation. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration
of Life will be held at the Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants’ Mess,

With heavy hearts, at the age of 93, we announce the death of Derek Shaver (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on April 14, 2019. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Dorothy Shaver (Bart) of Parry Sound and Doug Shaver of Trenton; his granddaughters, Christine (David) of Melbourne and Cindy (Chole) of Aurora, Ontario; his great grandchildren, Sebastian, Scarlett and Elizabeth. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25th 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26th 2019 at 11:00 AM at the St. George's Anglican Church (9 Byron St, Trenton, ON).

Obituary announcement for old comrade Lt.Col(Retd) Donald(Don) Dingle
Lt.-Colonel (Retired) Donald (Don) Dennis Dingle died suddenly at home on March 25, 2019 in Ottawa, Ontario at the age of 91. Don is survived by his wife, Doreen Elizabeth Dingle (nee Smith); Children: Ken, Nancy Akehurst (Steve). Liz Grimes, Peter (Susan) from Nova Scotia; Grandchildren: Robyn (Derek Pierce), Matthew (Candice Moore), Melanie, Riley; and Great-Grandchildren: Brooke and Jackson all from Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Vivian Dingle, siblings: Art, Russell, William, Iris and Bob. Don was born on July 3, 1927 in Calgary, Alberta. He was always interested in a military life. At age 11 he joined the Alberta Military Institute Cadet Corps. During World War II he rose to command this unit, leaving to join the Reserve Signals where he qualified as a Sergeant. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Alberta attaining a BSc in Electrical Engineering, attending summer training with the COTC at the school of Signals in Kingston. He was commissioned as Lieutenant in 1949 and joined the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. He was a decorated Military Veteran, having spent two years in Korea. He married Doreen Elizabeth Smith in 1952 after meeting on a blind date. The couple welcomed four children into their home. Because of Donald's military career, the family spent many years travelling extensively including stints in Winnipeg, Manitoba; Kingston, Ontario; Richmond, England; Rheindahlen, Germany; Ottawa, Ontario and Shilo, Manitoba and eventually landing in Ottawa where they purchased a home. He also spent time with two postings to Alert, NWT and time in Ghana, Africa developing an early alert warning system. They have lived in Ottawa since 1972. His children remember him as a very supportive and caring father. He was very proud of the achievement of his kids and enjoyed his time spent with his great grandchildren. Don was an active and dedicated member of Trinity United Church and often volunteered at their bazaars and events. Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home, Carling Chapel,
