WARKENTIN, Reginald George - Reg passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital with his family at his side on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the age of 80. Beloved husband to Hilde of 19 years. Cherished father to Kathy and her husband Brian Gale, Cindy Furney and step-father to Tobias Tews, Romy and her husband Ajay Swan and Rosalie and her family. Loving grandfather to Stephen, Nathan, Steven, Christopher and Callum. Dear brother to Jack, Edwin, Con, Peter and Doris. Reg will be dearly missed by his close friends Art and Diane Williams, Cecil and Alma Penney, Donny and Carol Banks. Family and friends will be received at GORDON F. Obiturary Notice for Arthur Charles Kline LM413

Arthur Charles Kline passed away peacefully on Friday August 24, 2012 at 88 years of age at The Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre after a long and fulfilling life. He was a World War II Veteran and Peace-Keeper with the United Nations. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 65 years Dolores (nee Degagne). Cherished father to four loving children, Wayne (Caroline), Dean (Pam), Debbie (Spencer) and Pam. Loving papa to his ten grandchildren, Scott (Martha), Dayle, Paul, David, Michael, Emily, Alexandra, Lukas, Carly and Gabriel and his four great grandchildren Maya, Juliette, Cyprien and Ava. Survived by brother Kenneth and predeceased by sister Evelyn. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to family and country. Family and friends may pay respects at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Tuesday, August 28 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service in the Pinecrest Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at The Perley and Rideau who treated him like their own for over a year. Obituary Notice for Paul St Pierre, LM758

Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre (PRVHC) on June 17, 2012 at the age of 92. Survived by his beloved wife Ruth (Corrigan) and daughters Rosemary (Peter) Leaver and Suzanne (Arden) Gaudet, grandchildren Naomi, Sonia, Vanessa and Colin and great-grandchildren Madeline, Lily, Alexa and Piper. Predeceased by his sister Evelyn and grandson Roy Leaver. Served as an officer in Italy and North West Europe with 5th Canadian Army Signals. After the war, he joined the 3rd Signals Reserve Regiment, later becoming Commanding Officer and Honorary Colonel. In civilian life, he worked for the Dept. of Defense Production and the Dept. of Supply & Services. He was a regular volunteer at the PRVHC from 1996 to 2004 and later served on the Resident Veterans' Council. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff of the 2 South Rideau at the PRVHC. Friends may pay respects at Lupton Hall of the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, 1750 Russell Road (enter by Main Entrance), Saturday after 12 noon. Funeral Saturday at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Chapel for Mass of Christian Funeral at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Perley Rideau Foundation would be appreciated.

Obituary Notice for Norman Thomas Hall, Sigs Club

After a lengthy illness, Norman Hall passed away at St Mary's General Hospital on Sunday, June 3rd, age 92. Beloved husband of Gwen Hall (nee Cliburn) of 68 years. Dear father of David Hall (Amber) of Sudbury and June Rainville (Brian) of Waterloo. Loving Poppy to Janelle Rainville, Kristen Gillett (Mark), Dwayne Hall (Chantal), Shawn Hall (Pauline) and Laura Hall (Lisa). Sadly missed by great-grand-children, Hunter, Paige, Britney, Kyle, Emily, Matthew and Sarah, plus many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Frank and Ada Hall, brothers John and Earl and sisters, Blanche Shane and Clara Hall. Norman served during WW II in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany as a Signalman with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. He was a long time associate member of the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada Officers' Mess and a member of the KW Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Norman was a custom shirt cutter for 49 years with John Forsyth Company. Special "Thank You" to the staff of St. Mary's 5th and 7th floors for your compassion and care. Norman's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 7th from 3-4 p.m. at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at the funeral home's chapel at 4 p.m. A reception will then take place at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. Sunday, November 6, 2011 in his 91st year. Dearly beloved husband of Moira (nee Duffey) for 61 years. Loving father of Lynda Dickson (Ivan), Robert (Charlotte), James (Johanne), Michael (Cathy), Wendy, Gerald (Julie) and the late Judy. Cherished grandfather of Catherine, Erika, Laura, Melissa, Jessica, Oliver, Nicholas, Jeremy and Amy. Predeceased by his parents Peter C. and Helen Dempsey, 2 infant sons, siblings Marian, Jean, Ruth, Bill, Norma and Walter James and by his first wife Vivian Locklin. Peter was a WWII veteran and a long time employee of Bell Canada. Special thanks to good friends Bud and Betty, Audrey and Hossain and Elsie and Grant.  Interment Capital Memorial Gardens Ottawa Ontario. In memoriam donations to the Salvation Army appreciated.

Obituary Notice for Frank Krewski LM684

On Monday, June 11, 2012, peacefully, in hospital, in his 91st year, with family present.
Frank was born in Oyen, Alberta, and spent his career first in the Canadian Armed Forces and later as a civilian in the Department of National Defense. In 2003, he received an award from Princess Ann during her visit to Ottawa for 50 years of dedicated service to his country.

A private interment will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Ceremony in his honour at the Royal Canadian Legion, 4026 Richmond Road, on Saturday, June 16 at 1 pm.
Frank was predeceased by his wife, Lorene (nee Stribbell), and is survived by his two sons, Daniel (Penny) and Michael (Lori), his grandchildren, Julie, Darren (Joanna), and Ren, his sister, Pauline, and his brother, Bernie. Frank will be remembered by his friends for his sense of humour, and for hosting many social gatherings at his home in Ottawa, especially the Wednesday ‘lunch bunch’, that got together regularly for 17 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Bells Corners Branch 593 would be appreciated.
