 Donald passed peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in his 82nd year. Cherished husband of 56 years to Valerie (nee MacDonald). Loving father of Marla Knapik (David), Michael (Raylene), Katherine and Elizabeth. Proud Grandpa of Carmelina (Travis), Michael, Joseph, Christopher and Emma and great-grandson Sean. Dear brother of the late Joanne Caldwell (Gary), Jim (Ginny) and Sheila Parker (Mike). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and the MacDonald family. The family will receive friends at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes 435 Davis Drive (Centennial at Taylor-Kidd) on Sunday, June 13 starting at 2 p.m. (Guests are asked to call the funeral home 613 546 5150 to reserve their time.) The family will gather together privately for a Liturgy of the Word Service to be held in our Chapel on Monday Morning with Fr. Leo Byrne officiating. Rite of Committal prayers will be said at the family plot in the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Marysville on Monday, June 14 at 2 p.m. (Guests wishing to attend the cemetery prayers are also asked to call the funeral home to reserve their place.) The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and PCAs at the KGH Emergency Department and Davies 4 ICU for their kind and compassionate care.  The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 of Bryan J. Langille, Charlottetown, age 87 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Miriam (Burke), children Brenda, Percy, Robert and Linda (deceased), step-children Heather, Reid, Charles and Vicki, 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great step-grandson. Brother of Shirley, Charlotte and Bertha. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. No visitation or funeral by personal request. Obituary notice for club member Robert "Bob" Ladouceur LM064

 Ladouceur, Robert  "Bob"

Passed away peacefully in his home on April 26, 2021 with his nieces Karen and Kathy, and grandson David by his side, at the age of 84. Husband of the late Theresa (2011), father of Joseph, Irene and Russell and grandfather of David and Seth. Survived by brother Douglas (Gloria), and sisters Barbara (late Bill), Lucille "Bonnie" Morris-Callum (late David). Predeceased by his sisters Thelma, Theresa, and Eileen.

Bob was born in Windsor, Ontario on March 26, 1937 and settled into the London area in the 1980s where he lived the rest of his life. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 18, married at the age of 21 and had a successful military career including leading an 18-month peace-keeping mission to the Suez Canal (1963-1964). He retired from the military as a Warrant Officer in 1978. Not quite ready for retirement, he had another successful career working at Bell Canada, retiring as Technical Manager in 1994.

A private interment will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery. Once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, a Celebration of Bob's Life will take place for family and friends. In lieu of flower donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated .(John T. Donohue Funeral Home).

Cumming, Ian F. (Red) UNFICYP-72, UNEF 75-6, |UNDOF 80 Predeceased by beloved wife Mary B.J. Cumming, parents Lorne M and Jean M Cumming. Survived by sister Lorna (Hans) Holtkamp, niece Heather (Dylan) Hunchak, nephew Brad (Sophie) and great nieces Harlow and Sloan Holtcamp and many friends and relatives. All greatly loved. Ian grew up in Wynyard Sask, joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1966. There was no service at Ian's request. Burial  was at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Michael passed away after a valiant struggle with leukemia. Beloved husband of Wendy Curtis (Newcombe) married 60 years. Survived by two sons David Gordon (Debbie), Steven William (Sue) and granddaughters Jessica and Jamie. Remembered by brother Fredrick (Cecile). Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Ruth Curtis. Michael was a dedicated military man joining the forces at age 17. He enjoyed his various postings at bases across Canada. During his retirement years Michael volunteered helping others with income preparations, served on the cemetery board, researched family ties for genealogy. He was always there to help family members when needed. A private celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date. Obituary notice for club member Major(Retd) Curtiss (Curt) Usherwood LM663

 Major Curtiss (Curt) Usherwood, CD, RCAF (Retired) passed away 14 April 2021.

Curt started his basic training Jan 1957. Curt graduated as a Teletype and Cypher Tech from No. 1 Radar and Communications School at RCAF Clinton in 1957. He was posted St Margerts NB and then 601 Telecommunications Sqn, 1 Canadian Air Division HQ Metz France. There he met and fell in love with Cecilia (Cec) Baudin, a Teletype Op.
Married, they had two children in France.

Posted back to Canada to 5 Communications Unit St Hubert. There Curt would have another child In 1968 His technical expertise was noted and he was posted as Teletype And Cypher instructor to CFSCE in Charlie Sqn. Curt’s leadership was recognized as a result he was CFR’ed.

Following training at CFOCS CFB Chiliwack Lt Usherwood CELE was posted CFS Holberg BC in 1971. Capt Usherwood loved Holberg so much he took a year extension. Next CFS Barrington in 1974. This was followed by Halifax Dockyard in CE as safety officer.

In 1979 he was posted as BTelo to CFB Shearwater. Then he was selected as CO 1 Line Troop 86-87 for what he considered the highlight of his career. This was followed by promotion to Major. AC2 Usherwood hoped in 1957 he might reach Flight Sergeant like his Dad. Now he returned to training as OC of Charlie Sqn CFSCE (88-89)where he had instructed two decades. It gave him great pleasure to be in charge of making future technicians. Curt last posting was 4 ATAF HQ Heidelberg.
This was reward to his wife for putting up with small radar site years before. His last posting was back to Canada and Jan 1994, Major Curtiss Usherwood retired.

Curt and Cec spent decades traveling until finally Curt’s dementia made it to hard. Cec was no longer able to care for Curt and in 2020 Curt moved to long term care. Curt and Cec were one month short of their 60th wedding anniversary. A few months ago Curt began failing. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma 4 weeks ago. Curt passed peacefully with wife and daughter at his side. Another daughter joined by video. In the final moments Curt opened and his eyes and kissed the love of his life his wife Cecilia Usherwood.
