Obituary for Joanne Mann
On Thursday, November 24, 2016, Joanne Louise Mann, age 77 years, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Joanne was born on February 18, 1939 at Regina, Saskatchewan. The family lived in Kingston, Ottawa, Ontario, Fort McMurray, Alberta and Regina, Saskatchewan, as Joanne's father served in the military. After completing her education, Joanne worked for the Federal Government in Kingston, Ontario and Shilo, Manitoba. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Shrine Club. Along with going for dinner with the girls, once a week, Joanne enjoyed bowling, golfing, curling, cards, cruising and holidays south. Joanne will be deeply missed by her husband George; sons, Brian (Valarie) and Stephen (Sherrie); grandchildren Daniel and Jordan and great-grandchild, Noel. The Ceremony to Celebrate Joanne's Life took place at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Urn Bearers were Brian Mann, Stephen Mann, George Mann and Ken Furnell. Interment was at the Brandon Cemetery. A reception followed at the Masonic Lodge. Donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2W8.
